New Blog Design

Wow, I just managed to lose 3 hours to redesigning the blog and it isn't even as impressive as blogs I admire. I think I'm giving it a rest for awhile though.

Next step is to figure out how to use photobucket so my photos will be larger and more impressive. What's the point of taking great photos if they look small and pitiful?

Now I need your photobucket or photo enlarging advice in addition to hair advice!

  1. I just recently changed my template to Minima Stretch Template b/c I found that when I tried to make my pictures bigger, they didn't fit in my margins. Under Design, click on "edit HTML" and then "select layout template" and then choose Minima Stretch Template. Also make sure that you are using the Updated Editor. Under Settings, scroll down to the bottom and under "select post editor" make sure "updated editor" is checked. With the new editor you should be able to make your pictures small, medium or large. The large is really big, I use it all the time. I agree - I hate small pictures. I like them big and in your face :)

    Hope this info helped!

  2. oooohhhhh! I LOVE the new look. No fancy advice, but I like what you are doing!

Meanwhile......2-3 months ago, when you were in the midst of the just-brought-Ariam-home-insanity, could you have imgined yourself spending three hours on a redesign of your blog? I'm happy to see that you are settling into motherhood!

  3. Ditto to the above post. I was pretty much just gonna say the exact same thing. Love the new look-- including the banner and the family pix. A-DOR-able!

  4. I don't use photobucket. When I upload photos to the blogger editor, I always choose large. For my particular layout, horizontal photos fit with the extra large size, so I choose that sometimes. Blogger has a new advanced editor for your layout too, that is fabulous... no more searching the net for backgrounds for me.
