Every tree limb overhead seems to sit and wait, while every step you take becomes a twist of fate.
Up on the watershed, standing at the fork in the road...

HAPPY

Holidays are approaching.

I've been thinking a lot about last year. I wrote this post, so sure that we were almost at the finish line.

It seemed to kick off a very difficult 3.5 more months of waiting and began the season of angst and ugly crying instead of yuletide cheer.

I know it's a little morbid, but I like to go back and revisit those days in my memory.

Such a different place now.
Happy.

  1. I think it is good to go back and make peace with those times or try to make a little more peace than the time before - sometimes it takes more than one visit...at least I have found that to be true in my life. You are a gifted blogger -thank you for sharing.

  2. Boy, isn't that the truth...such a different place! At the point that you wrote that first blog I was sitiing in Jacksonville reading your blog, never dreaming that I would ever go to ET and certainly never thinking that I'd ever know you or A. To see where A started and now to have the connection to see where she's headed...what a blessing in every sense of the word!

J and I have been married for almost 15 years. We have shared many adventures and a lot of watershed moments. In 2009 I began blogging and in 2010 we adopted our daughter from Ethiopia. In March of 2012 we began the process to adopt a little boy from Haiti. This blog follows the many twists and turns on the road to our two children and beyond.
